It’s very difficult to truly understand the condition of a property from a distance and your inspection is an invaluable step in the process.
We will be rescinding our offer as we aren’t in a position to purchase a property that requires major renovations and the cooperation of the immediate neighbours to resolve some fundamental problems. Our search for a property in Tavira has only started. We will reach out to you for your surveyor services once we find another property.

Thank you for your survey. I was grateful it was easy to read and understand. As a result, I have decided not to go ahead and buy the property. There were too many issues for me to take on and I could spend a lot of money, but still, basically, end up with a poorly constructed property.
Learning that the drainage was not connected to the mains, as I had been told, but to a septic tank shared with other villas was a major issue, and also the question mark over the boundary,
these were two issues I would not be in control of and would be an added stress.
